since you are interested in tattoos you might be interested in a free digital issue of inked magazine.
its worth a flipthrough but pretty much one of the reasons i started a blog about tattoos. BUT they still have some nice material as you can see.

HELMUT LANG / JONATHAN KROPPMANN

i dont know how old these pictures from the helmut lang website are. i really liked the clothes and wasnt blogging about tattoos back then. i still thought that the combination was nice and took some screenshots. helmut lang must have thought the same thing about the style/tattoo combination and hired jonathan kroppmann for the lookbook/website/runway.
he probably appeared everywhere then but since i already posted quite a bit too much i limit myself to some pictures from inked mag and some others that i dont remember the source of right know...

SHIA AND MEGAN

DANA <3 LOOOOVES <3<3<3<3<3<3<3 shia labeouf. and tattoos. so she begged me to put up some pictures of him. as far as i know he doesnt have any tattos ( will google that ) so i was not 100% cool with that. BUT, i found one image with shia and megan fox on it ( apparently there are 10million out there ). so its cool now to post the shia images ....and a lot of megan pictures shot by terry richardson for GQ ....yeah some of them we have already posted but some of them never appeared here and in the GQ issue which i ordered over ebay btw...

edit: shia has tattoos....

Philip Crangi is a jewelry-designer. we like his dreamcatcher piece but couldnt find an appropriate picture of it. nevermind.

great idea to have animated gifs instead of a picture gallery...great background music...!!!!
unfortunately they dont have any clothes for men. kinda weird, since the indexpage leads you a lil bit in that direction...

in case you missed it: apparently david szeto is planning on launching mens clothes as well.
of course we dont know if the comment is the real deal but whoever this guy is. he loves our blog. thats cool.

Amanda's Irises (and a Quote)

This start-of-the-year post is courtesy of Amanda, who I met at the end of October in the Borders at Columbus Circle.

It was her sleeve of irises that first captured my attention:

These are inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh, perhaps this one:

The tattoo was done by Dennis Halbritter when he was at Incognito Tattoo in Pasadena, California. He has since moved to High Voltage Tattoo, Kat Von D's shop on L.A. Ink.

Dennis also inked this on Amanda's inner right bicep:

This quote "IO FU QUELLO CHE VOI SIETE E QUEL CH'IO SON VOI SARETE" is taken from an Italian fresco credited to Masaccio. This is the artwork in question:

The Holy Trinity, with the Virgin and Saint John and donors, in Florence

If you look at the bottom of the fresco, right above the skeleton is the phrase Amanda has inscribed on her arm.

The phrase is translated as "I once was what you are and what I am you also will be".
These words remind her of her own mortality.
